Keeping Her Solid: Basic Products Any Car Owner Should Have

When it comes to caring for your vehicle, you should be well prepared. Today, we wanted to take a look at some pretty basic products that any car owner should have. Mind you, we’re not going to be dropping names or brands. Instead, we will be looking at a more general look at what you should have either for your car or in your car.

On a personal standpoint, here are a few things that we have in our cars:

First Aid Kit

This one is kept in the trunk of the car. You never know when you’ll need a first aid kit so it’s always important to have one and not need it. In it, you should have:

  • Bandages
  • Disinfectant
  • Needle and thread
  • Medicine (basic)
  • Safety scissors
  • Multi-tool

These are important since anyone would be able to benefit from them.

Spare Tire

We cannot put enough emphasis on this one. There have been so many people that could have been spared a world of hassle if they had just bothered to carry around a spare tire. Just don’t forget to pack along a jack so you can replace your tire when necessary.

You would be surprised how many people ended up having car trouble when the light had already gone out. Having a flashlight can really help you in tight spots especially when you’re trying to check up on your engine or under your chassis.

Jumper Cables

Despite all your preparation, dead batteries can still happen. When this happens, you’ll be eternally grateful that you’ve packed jumper cables.

A Mini Bug-out Bag

Seriously, you will be thankful that you’ve got this in your car’s trunk at all times. With the way things are now, life is fairly stressful. So it’s always good to be prepared no matter where you go. A bug-out bag should always have the basics:

  • Change of clothes
  • Water bottles
  • Energy bars
  • Radio
  • Spare batteries
  • Copies of important documents
  • blankets

While you may think this one is rather unnecessary, we’ve personally experienced how convenient it is to have a bug-out bag in states of emergencies.

Reflective Triangles

If you’ve taken driving classes, you will know why this one is needed. Just in case you come across any car trouble, you will have to make sure that the incoming vehicles can see you and avoid you. You should have a couple ready to line either side of your vehicle.

To Conclude

These might seem a lot but these are actually some of the more basic things that should be in your car whenever you go out. Always remember that it certainly pays to be prepared. Not only will you be able to take care of yourself well but you’ll also be able to care for your car a lot better than most people.

Your car is an investment that you should really aim to care for. You can do that best when you’ve got yourself covered with some of the basic products we’ve mentioned. Which ones do you still need to go procure for your vehicle?
